How to Make

  • In a large pot saut√© the onions then add all the lentils followed by hot water to cover the lentils
  • Add the vegetable stock followed by all the spices
  • Simmer on low heat for 20mins stirring occasionally
  • Once the lentils are cooked through mash them using a potato masher
  • Turn heat off and add the burghul and kamouneh
  • Mix well and set aside until cool
  • Once the lentil mixture is no longer warm add the olive oil and mix with your hands and form finger sized pieces and mark each one with your finger prints (see picture for reference) Serve with salad.
