How to Make

  • Wash and soak the lentils for 30 minutes, then drain and set aside
  • Chop the onion and butternut squash. Peel and chop the tomato. Mash the garlic
  • In a small pot, fry the onion and garlic in the oil until translucent
  • Then add the lentils, tomato, butternut squash, water, and spices (if using) and mix well
  • Bring the mixture to a boil
  • Then cover and simmer for 1 hour until the lentils are cooked through
  • Towards the end, add the Cerelac and continue cooking for 1 minute
  • Squeeze some lemon before serving
