How to Make

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  • Sift semolina baking powder and baking soda and fold into the butter mix with the yogurt.
  • Spread the batter into a greased cake tin.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Make the syrup by bringing sugar and water to the boil, stirring til the sugar is dissolved. Add lemon juice and boil for 10 minutes, allow to cool.
  • Spoon the cooled syrup over hot cake and leave to cool.
  • Decorate with Nutella®.
